Customer Reviews

"This is one of 2 restaurants in town. They are very friendly with pretty good food and reasonable prices. I'm just going to say, this is a Southern thing; sitting all by yourself, you will get nods to say hi. Sooner or later someone is going to start a friendly conversation with you, be it from the next booth or salad bar. Did I mention this is a friendly place? Even the owner makes his rounds by each table to see if you need anything. Now you will see I rated 5 stars for atmosphere. The building is old, the facility is well used, it is the people that makes this a great atmosphere. So don't think it is 5 star elegant dining, its a very frendly place with good food at good prices."

"This has a buffet for lunch. The meat was fried chicken and delicious meatloaf. Mac and Cheese, mashed potatoes, fried squash, chicken and rice, and a couple other sides. Dessert was peach cobbler. You also can order if you like."

"This is classic Americana/diner done to perfection. It does not get any better than this. Perfectly dressed burgers, fresh cut home fries, and a delightful buffet with every item being a flavor explosion. I'm very glad it's a hour away, or I'd be a much larger man."

- James M.

"We had the buffet. Salad was OK. Meat loaf was good, turnip greens was very good, cornbread was very good and mashed potatoes were great! A good Southern meal in a small town family atmosphere."

- Martha D.

"Biscuit and gravy was a hearty portion and I added two eggs. Husband got one pancake the size of the plate! And sausage, very hearty servings. Wonderful service and it is right on I20."
